3.8.07 what small DFW/MSE thing will you do or have you done today?

Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:  IT's FRIDAY!!!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

So, today I will:
  • check online banking and update spreadsheet
  • do a little bit of matched betting
  • submit mystery shop online that I forgot yesterday :o
  • open pigsback account for OH
  • do daily clicks and surveys
  • have a lazy NSD day
  • give DS a present out of the cupboard for a friend's party
  • Make a storecupboard meal
  • not increase my debt in any way
  • be positive
  • enjoy the sunshine for free:cool:
don't forget your suncream everyone and have a good day xx

    Morning

    Today I will:

    - check online banking
    - moved Quidco money into savings so it is not randomly spent.
    - Not increase my debt in anyway
    - Not buy any food on the way home
    - start sorting out things for a car boot on Sunday (assuming it doesn't rain)
    - Stay positive (and try not to have a panic attack today!)

Good luck everyone, enjoy the sunshine x

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

    -done another survey earning £1.

Hope it stays fine all weekend, we have family birthday parties but have arranged DFW-style presents (£20 Theatre Token courtesy of Nectar :o and stuff from the stash.)

    Mortgage-free Glee!
    - Claimed my cashback from Morgan Stanley CC - £120 :j
    - Sold a book on ebay within an hour of putting it on!
    - Have got two buyers for other items
    - Spent some time updating my spending diary and mortgage calculator spreadsheet
    - Found a brand new hardbacked notebook that I can use as a guest book for the wedding (will cover with some pretty paper) - so removed from my order (see below) saving £20!

On the downside, I had to order some stuff for the wedding (£160 so that's my MS CC cashback and ebay efforts wiped out!):o
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

    Evening all!

    Today I have:

    * Registered for Betfair through Quidco (£25) to start MB
    * Changed Quidco bank to ISA account so I don't touch any of the earnings
    * Set up DD from current account to ISA for £25 per month saved by changing insurance policy - will add to savings during the month.
    * Did weekly shop following list so only spent £42 and am away from next Fri at in-laws so will save some money then
    * Received £30 from ipoints account in Boots vouchers
    * Stayed home from work as unwell so saved some petrol
    * Canceled Lovefilm and Experian after free trials through Quidco

Going shopping when not feeling well is good, just wanted to get what was on the list and get out, didn't deviate as can't taste anything so didn't fancy anything extra!_pale_
