Further to our conversation, I have received a CCJ form from Reston solicitors even though I was under the impression the account with Cabot and Marlin would be put on hold, after our discussion. I have lodged complaints with Cabot and Marlin re: the way the account has been handled.

Please could you advise on whether you had contacted Cabot/Marlin?

If you have received CCJ claim form, then you need to deal with that now as a matter of priority.

Acknowledge the claim - online via www.moneyclaim.gov.uk if possible - saying you are going to defend in full.

That gives you 28 days from receipt of the claim to sort out a defence.

Then ask for advice a forum legal section such as for example:

You can query things with vodafone phone or other parties in the meantime, but you need to do the above as well just in case.
