Nationwide DIP

I have all my accounts with Nationwide - if I do a DIP with them, will this be a soft search or a hard search on my credit rating? When I have done calculators on how much I can borrow, RBS is better, but would rather stick with Nationwide because that's who I bank with but then if they won't give me as much as RBS, I don't want to have left a hard search footprint on my credit history.
Any advice????

Nationwide have a pretty effective affordability calculator on their site which if you fill it in accurately will tell you how much they are likely to lend you. This does not use a hard search.£1000 Emergency fund No90 £1000/1000
LBM 28/1/15 total debt - [STRIKE]£23,410[/STRIKE] 24/3/16 total debt - £7,298
