Bank Clothes Shop and wages

Hi, my son is working at Bank - he started a few weeks ago.
This is a temporary job as they are closing down, he know this when he started but was glad of the work.
When he started he was told that he would be paid weekly, but he still hasn't been paid.
He was expecting to be paid this week but HO has sent round an email saying that no-one would be paid until the 6th March.
I'm now very suspicious that as the shop may be closing on the 6th that he wont be paid at all.
I have no idea what to advise him to do - should he work next week and hope to be paid or just not go back. He has no money at all now and really needed to be paid this week.
Thanks,

Does he have another job to go to immediately? If not, I'd tend to continue working.
What does he have in writing as evidence of the pay rate and the hours he has worked? If they don't find a buyer or otherwise pull it round, then he will need this.
As he has worked a few weeks, he could formally (in writing) ask for an advance in anticipation of the 6 March pay day. Perhaps be willing to accept 50% of what is currently due which means they are retaining more than enough to cover any tax and employees NI contributions.0 -
Bank are already in administration, so if the administrators are unable to find a buyer they may well go into liquidation. If they do then outstanding wages (up to 8 weeks plus holiday pay plus statutory notice) can be paid by the government, so it may be worth hanging on as he should get his money one way or the other.
