ASDA SP Garlic Baguettes - Online Price Glitch
Options
These are currently 32p. They're remarkably good for the price: unless you made the bread yourself, you couldn't make them for less.
However, they've had a duplicate entry on the website at 33p for as long as I can remember.
A couple of days ago, the price on this changed to 28p.

If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

What makes garlic bread so palatable is the garlic itsself and less so the baguette. Infact youre paying quite a lot for only a little garlic and a little bread. It might be easier and better value for money buying jarred garlic such as Raj's Minced Garlic Paste also sold by Asda; I know I do and I love it. Raj's in particular has a little sugar which makes the difference.
Apparently garlic is a popular snack on its own in parts of the balkans, probably elsewhere too.0 -
Quick Robin. To the Batmobile! There's a 4p saving on smart price baguettes to be had!
Holy garlic butter infused bread sticks Batman!0 -
If you look at the packaging and the ingredients/nutritional values - these are different products - NOT duplicates

so why is this a "glitch" ?0 -

I envy you being able to discount such small savings. If you look at the packaging and the ingredients/nutritional values - these are different products - NOT duplicates

They've only sold and only sell one SP garlic baguette. I've assumed that the one with the product code of 1991464 was an old but undeleted item and the one with the product code of 603602 was the new one. A change of supplier and/or recipe would explain this.If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

It may be easier to use jarred garlic but surely if you were to make it yourself (which I do regularly) you certainly wouldn't use jarred garlic and only use fresh garlic with no additives and much tastier and healthy.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. NO - they are two different products -
one is fresh/chilled - the other is frozen
Asda are perfectly entitled to charge what they want for two different products0 -

I stand corrected. The storage type for product code 603602 is chilled. The storage type for product code 1991464 is frozen.
I was only aware of the chilled version. I'll check the freezer cabinets for the frozen version on my next visit.
I never knew that garlic baguettes could be so complicated. I really ought to get out more. Or should that be less?
Update.
I'm back. Chilled version, 32p. Frozen version, 28p. As I usually freeze them anyway, as long as they're cheaper, I'll buy the frozen version. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?
