Boost MY income advice

Ok. I've worked since I was 15. I'm a full time working mother to 3 kids (11, 2 and 8 months). I came back to work in November follwing a very short maternity leave. I like my job, I like my colleagues but I love my kids more...I want to quit work and stay at home with them. I want to not have to rely on family to watch them for me. I want to be able to take my eldest to school on a morning and pick him up and hear first hand about his day, his latest crush and why he hates maths. I want to be able to see my baby daughter take her first steps and not have family members lie that I'd seen it before them to save my feelings (bless their hearts). I want to sit and watch Peppa with my 2 year old son and watch him guffaw at daddy pigs antics. I don't want to work anymore I don't want to rely on benefits either though. I work hard. I get paid a decent wage. I, like most people have a mortgage, a car, debt and General house hold bills too. I want to stay at home and still be able to bring in the money I need for us to survive as s family. Unless I win the lotto or by some other miriacle the banks forgot we owe them money I don't know how this is possible. I want to have hope. Am I being selfish to let DH continue to work while I could potentially be at home with our amazing children?
I need some advice. Is this possible. Is there a way I can stay at home and cherish my cherubs or is it all a pipe dream. Any tips, suggestions or miracles welcome.
I understand that millions of others out there are in my boat too and have been for decades but I feel so frustrated at the moment and missing out on my life as much as theirs....!!!!

Is there any way you can go from full time to part time or work part time from home?
No matter what you do to make money it'll take time. You could use various online sites and do surveys or write reviews or one of the various other things listed on this forum. You could blog. You could sell stuff on ebay. You could create things to sell if you're good at any crafts.
All of these things will take time in terms of doing that and making a decent amount.
There is no quick and easy option. I'd suggest trying a few things out while still working and see how you get on with them.0 -
There are 10s of threads on this forum about this. Every week someone creates a new one to ask the same question. I'd suggest to read forums first.
There are many opportunities but how much you earn from them depends on a lot of factors. A lot of people have families and wish the same but life is a bit more difficult than that.ally.0 -
You sound just like me, or at least what I originally sounded like. Now I am desperate to get back to work less than a year after starting at home.
It is possible to find work from home, you can earn a full-time wage from home; like PP have said have a look through the forum.
I now cannot wait to get back to the work place because I find that working from home means I spend less time with my son, especially over the holidays because I still NEED to work to earn money. I still need to be sat at my PC rather than sitting on the sofa watching a film with him or baking or going to the park. If I am not working then I am not earning; being employed on a self-employed basis comes without the perks of holiday pay.

What is the shortfall between hubs wages and what you need without your own wage ?
Once you know what you would need to earn, then you could look further to see if it is doable.0 -
The big question is probably, how much money do you need to make if you want to work from home?
Two things you do need is discipline and determination if you want to work from home and grow anything from the ground. It's tough, but you have to figure out what you want to do, anything your good at and more importantly there's a demand for. Basic Google searches and You Tube are good sources for information.
