Bailiff Friday

Hi All,
Just need a bit of re-assurance & direction.
I got myself a HMCT fine for no car insurance (I know stupid & now rectified).
I received a letter from Marston "Notice of Enforcement" 15/2/2015 with a demand for £620 (fine) & £75 (compliance stage fee) to be paid by 29/1/15.
I called them straight away to say that I don't have the funds to clear the whole amount, they then said I have until 6/2 to pay at least £200.
This I did & have the email receipt to prove, I them presumed that I would be paying in installments, how wrong I was.
23/2/15 I come home to a letter "removal notice" amount now due £730
I called the bailiff straight away to explain I did what they asked, he said that the amount to pay was £208 & not £200 & they didn't get it until 9th Feb, therefore I was out of arrangement & I didn't get the amount right (£8.00 out) therefore he will be back Friday for the lot or remove goods.
Now - my question is this, I've read a few notes about paying online directly to the court for the fine amount.
I'm happy to do this & can do this (just) by Friday, but I know that the bailiff is gonna come looking for his additional money.
I did not ask for the visit or either letter, therefore is this still enforceable ? I want to get it straight before I do any payments.
Look forward to hearing from you all.
Stephen.

Ok, so I managed to get through on the phone to the court fines department who very kindly told me that my fine is £495.00
I tongue in check asked if I was to pay £495 online directly to the GOV.uk webpage to clear the fine, would this be enough to stop the warrant.
She advised that the £495 would still be sent to Marston, they then would take a percentage of that then return what left to pay the fine.
I'm not a legal person, but is this right ?? that HMCT can give priority to bailiffs fees over a court fine ??
Help required this afternoon if possible before I make any decisions.
Thanks in advance.Managing my own debts & it's slowly looking better by the month. :T0 -
They also told me that the £200 I paid to Marstons on the 6th Feb, Marstons took £75 out of that & forwarded £125 to the court for the fine.Managing my own debts & it's slowly looking better by the month. :T0

All your numbers seem to add up correctly.
I think the £208 thing was just an invention of the bailiff - they were trying to avoid an instalment arrangement at that stage so that the second stage fee of £235 could apply.
Payments at the stage you are now are split between the court and the bailiff

If you can afford to clear it, do so. They are not likely to remove goods but will make a nuisance of themselves and probably know your car registration.0 -
Thank you for the reply.
I had to bite the bullet & pay the £730 directly to Marstons as I couldn't take the gamble.
But after I have put together a complaint to them regarding there poor customer service & lack of admin in confirming arrangements etc.
I can only hope I get a reply from these !!!!!! turpins.Managing my own debts & it's slowly looking better by the month. :T0
