Nationwide Mortgage - Time frame

Hi,

Just a quick thread to see if anyone is aware if Nationwide are currently behind with mortgage applications?

I have been waiting since 09.02 to get an answer whether my husband and i will be accepted. They have done the credit checks and approved some of the requested documents that they have already requested, however they then asked for some more docs which apparently they hadn't received so this then delayed it by a further 3-5 days.

We have been waiting for an answer since 09.02 and were advised we should hopefully here something by today - So far Nothing.

We went through a financial advisor, who has been regularly checking updates with NW!

Chances are when you sent your last batch of documents in they didn't correctly look at them all.


Get your financial adviser to perhaps call them and find out if anything is outstanding.


Usually they go pretty quickly if they have everything but grinds to a complete halt if they don't and they don't even inform you about it.

If it has gone to Head office for decision you can expect a wait.

We were told that the docs they have already received have been satisfied but they required further wage slips for my husband as he gets paid weekly.

We are both getting quite impatient now as this is falling in to the 4th weekend of not knowing! :mad:

They have the money - you want it - you need to be patient.

I think we have been reasonably patient now, after they originally told us we would have an answer by Friday of last week and then to be told they haven't attached the new requested docs to our account and to be told we have to now wait a further 3-5 days. I wouldn't have minded its just the fact they keep telling us different things each time we make contact!

We had the interview (by phone) on 22nd Jan, dropped the required documents off to branch on the 24th Jan and completed on 18th Feb, so just under 4 weeks from start to finish.
