Hello all,
I'm right out in the wilds of West Cumbria and I'm looking for a good company to install solar PV.
Anyone any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Have you looked at yougen.co.uk (I am not allowed to post links as a newbie).
That will also give you some information, in addition to the valuable information you'll get from folk here.0 -

Don't know about any specific to Cumbria but there are a few in SW Scotland not too far.
One thing I would suggest is avoid the national companies and those who just sell leads to installers.
I made the mistake of using a company from Glasgow(ecoliving) (90m away) who on the face of it did their own but the installers were a different co so I guess just sold leads. There were a few problems at installation and although now all ok was a bit of hassle. System been in 3.5 years. 3.6kw produces 8 to 10% above amount forecast.
So go local.
Good luck.
With the current rates not sure I would do solar PV but would do thermal if heating system was compatible.0 -
