Is it possible to have a mortage valuation by 3rd party?

hello,

Curiosity has got me..

Is it possible to have a mortgage valuation by a 3rd party RICS qualified professional which the bank would execept as to opoosed the banks own mortgage valuation?

Reason i ask is i have been looking at TSB home buyers + mortage valuation which is around £300 more expensive in my case compared to other lenders

You will always have to havethe bank surveyor do the valuation. You can do anything else you wish but that is a requirement.

No. The lender will instruct a RICS chartered surveyor of its choice to carry out its valuation - at your expense.

You can have a homebuyer's or chartered building survey done by a surveyor of your choice, or possibly by the lender's chosen surveyor at additional cost to the valuation.

Don't forget, lenders slap an admin fee on top of the cost of the valuation. If you pay £300, you would expect the surveyor to get about half of that.
