Polythene recycling company in Norwich

Just came across this link whilst browsing on morsbags - http://www.greenlink-berkshire.org.uk/Polyprint.htm

It seems you can send your polythene there for recycling. Has anyone used this service? And what do you guys think of it?

I think it looks quite interesting! As polythene takes up little space it might be something to mention on local freecycle groups (or freecycle cafe if you have one) everyone could collect it up and take to a nominated persons house to send it all off together in one package. I'm not sure that I wouldn't end up puting the wrong stuff in and then it all going to landfill anyway though!

I've been using this for a few years now. I have a shoebox in my office (I work at home) and put "mailing films" in it ready to send off. These are the polythene wrappers that contain catalogues, brochures, magazines etc that come in the post. I also recycle the polythene wrappers that the weekend newspaper supplements come in.

You'll be surprised how quickly they mount up but I tend to only send them off around once every three months. I pack them in a Jiffy bag (also recycled - one I've received in the post) and take to the post office. Last time I sent one it was quite large and cost around £3 to send I think.

If you look on the Polyprint website they give instructions on what kind of things they can recyle, how to pack them etc.

I've never heard back from them so I assume I'm doing it right!

It's quite near Wroxham and my mum goes to wroxham a lot for walks along the river and shopping. She takes a load there everytime she visits Wroxham. She has never been told she is doing wrong and we put in similar stuff to Suemaggie.
