help cleaning burner surrounds on oven

Options
:confused: Used all the tips here to get the inide and top of oven gleaming but can't seem to find what to use to clean the dull silver circles that go around the gas burners. Tried dishwasher and scrubbing with brillo but daren't use the oven cleaner in a bag in case it pits it. Please help

I had a very unclean burnt on hob, but used orange oil, it's a type of cleaner that you dilute, not sure how ols style it is - and probably isn' very money saving - but with a neat application and a lot of elbow grease and a scourer type scrub it came up lovely.

I got the orange oil from QVC.

Sure others will come up with more OS advice though.

    Hello,

I have four and I think two of them are the same. Tell me to bogof if you want, because you obviously know, but are they actually burnt from the gas flame, mine are, and I doubt it will ever come off, as I don't think these anything to come off.

Just didn't want you to waste time and money thats all, hope you don't mind me saying. :o

  • i give mine a good scrub with a brillo pad now and then, and whatever black/dirt looking stain is still there after a minutes scrubbing i put down to being flame damage and leave it. it's not worth the worry and effort!
