Missed this one first time round.

When you are so used to a certain way of funding your living, the most obvious reason for getting a receipt ? Oh come on! Have we such short memories ? Which hedge? Which property ? :rotfl:

I pay the gardener and handyman by cash, I have completed my part of the agreement by paying up, I couldn't care less if that money goes into their back pocket or declared to the tax man that is entirely up to them.

Window cleaners and newsagents get cash. Sometimes I might pay Tesco with cash, it depends what I am getting.

Well it depends how much cash I have on me, or if I do - I don't like carrying cash.

It was my birthday recently and it isn't possible to get to the bank as they open such miserable hours. Therefore, the next few purchases I make will most likely be in cash.

Like DKLS, once I have paid I don't see it as my responsibility to ensure it is properly reported.
