We had a Helms rep round recently. I just find it hard to trust companies that cold call round doors.

    Welcome to the forum.

It seems like the solar PV 'industry' is going the same way as the solar thermal industry did a few years ago. There are several posts on MSE, and more elsewhere, of other solar PV firms going bankrupt. There have been reports that some of the Solar Thermal firms that ceased trading immediately opened up (with a new name) installing solar PV.

One can only speculate how many solar PV firms will be trading under their present name in a couple of years time and their guarantees will be worthless.

Sadly solar is not the only 'industry' that has suffered from this malaise. Dry rot, treatment of building foundations etc commonly gave a 25 year warranty and the chance of getting any remedial work done is next to zero.

What will MCO do about 'folding' solar firms? - answers on a postcard.

Cheerful or not; do you think I am correct?
