I am avoiding Debenhams. I've had two orders accepted and paid for only to find the items are out of stock. In both cases I received dispatch emails and wasn't informed of the cancellation, the website was still showing stock too.0

I am avoiding Debenhams. I've had two orders accepted and paid for only to find the items are out of stock. In both cases I received dispatch emails and wasn't informed of the cancellation, the website was still showing stock too.
I've had the same from House of Fraser and Marks and Spencer - order paid then cancelled and I've had to wait 10 days for a refund. M&S at one point said they'd send a cheque within 14 days. It's not specific to Debenhams and is appalling service. I don't blame you for avoiding them - I'm not going to bother with M&S again.0 -
I've had the similar experience with John Lewis! They had taken money and wanted me to wait 6 weeks for the item which at the end I didn't get!2013 - £650

I had same problem with M&S. they said item was out of stock but it is still on the website now. They still took my money though. Won't bother again.0 -
