What information to give IFA?

Hello all,
I'm in the process of securing a new mortgage and have selected an IFA I wish to use. I have given the basic information already and will soon be seeking an AIP.
What sort of information will they require and is there anything I should NOT be telling them? Is it reasonable to want to know bank account numbers and employee/payroll numbers?
Any advice on this next stage of this process would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Tell them everything.
It is reasonable for them to know anything they ask, including inside leg measurement.I am a Mortgage Broker

Second this.
Someone the other day was questioning whether they should send the IFA their credit file.
If the IFA deems it to be important you tell them, its that simple.
If a client refused to tell me something I asked I would thank them for their time and wish them luck in speaking to the banks directly!I am a Mortgage Adviser

Thanks for the quick replies, makes total sense and echoes what I had in my head. Just needed a little reassurance.
Thankyou!0 -
Your mortgage broker and solicitor work for you - tell them anything they want to know.
Tell your mortgage broker anything you think may be relevant to a mortgage application, even if they don't ask. The more information they have, the better they can find the right mortgage for you, and the greater the chance your first application will be accepted.
The estate agent of the house you're buying works for the vendor - don't give them your financial details or they'll use it to get you to increase your offer.0 -
