    If you pay them via an automated payment line or the internet (being sure to quote the reference number you had when you incurred the arrears) they will receive the payment and the order is discharged, it doesn't matter if some customer service rep 'lets you'.

    Just be sure to keep proof of payment, if you do it on line they immediately provide you with a receipt.
