expiring drivers licence. shafted in N.Ireland again

ok , realising that my licence is up for renewal can anybody shed any light on why our replacement licence cost is £30 , however across the water it is only £14/£17 depending on whether it is done online or by post.

Wales have a devolved government, do they sustain similar costs?
Don't know as i don't live there.
Point is devolved power means that the price of certain things can be set locally.
This means it might be less expensive for a driving license in Wales rather than here or in England but conversely could be more expensive for somethin else they have the power to price.
With no devolved power you would be paying the same price whichever part of the UK you live in.0 -
