  • did you get a timesheet signed/authorised and submitted on time?

I would email your consultant requesting a call immediately, give them an hour, then call them. See what their story is. Then call payroll/accounts and find out if they are telling you the same story. if you have your timesheet submitted on time and done everything correctly, they must pay you within a reasonable timeframe. I would request a same day Faster payment to your account. Check the bank details they hold on file for you at this point.

Last call would be to the MD/manager or an email, to explain they problems you have had and make them aware of issues. it may speed things up.

Remember in an calls, although you may be annoyed, try to stay calm and rational, but firm. In my experience, people are more likely to help you out if you don't start ranting at them down the phone.

And not getting paid can be down to a dodgy agency, but also sometimes just because your consultant is useless.
