Paying off Mortgage in First Year

I currently have £19k left and 9 years on my mortgage.
We have been looking to move increasing our mortgage by £20k ish. If I took out a variable rate deal or another deal with no redemption penalty and paid it off within the first 6-12 months then would there be any penalty?
