HELP!
6 years ago I had 2 rent my house out because of financial difficulties so had 2 transfer 2 a buy 2 let mortgage which was obviously higher interest rate. I am now going 2 move back in my house but cannot seem 2 get my mortgage lowered because I don't earn enough. my partner is about 2 move in with me, who works full time but is self employed ,and its only my name on the mortgage.( BY THE WAY IT WAS A REMORTGAGE).COULD ANYBODY OFFER ANY ADVICE?

I'm going to make a bit of an assumption here about what you actually want, as it isn't exactly clear.
Are you planning to remortgage and do a transfer of equity into joint names? If so, does your self-employed partner earn enough to make a residential remortgage affordable?I am a mortgage broker. was going 2 keep it in my name only as my partner has had financial difficulties in the past, and cannot get a mortgage. the only thing I can do @ the moment is 2 keep my current mortgage which is a buy 2 let running.0

I now feel a little redundant, as it seems you've reached your own conclusion.
Quite correctly too, by the look of it...I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. From the very limited information you've supplied, it's impossible to say what might be possible.
You may wish to ask a recommended independent mortgage broker for their views, based on a factfind carried out with you.I am a mortgage broker.
