Hi,
I'm writing this on behalf of my father who went bankrupt >20 years ago and is now having repercussions and requires a bit of advice.
You'll have to forgive me because I don't really know much about this so I might be using some of the wrong terms/language.
Basically he went bankrupt well over 20 years ago, it was all resolved (discharged?) and he received a letter stating this from Somerset House Court (which no longer exists).
He's being forced by his pension company to provide a certificate of discharge (at the threat of losing his pension, they think he went bankrupt in 2014) but as it was so long ago he doesn't have one, and as the court that originally provided it no longer exists we have no idea where to start.
any ideas?
