UK mortgage with a foreign employer?

Hello,

I live and work in the UK but my employer is based in Australia… Does anyone know whether I am eligible for a mortgage from a UK bank/building society? I've tried to research this topic but just end up with information about ex-pats (not me!).

    I currently live in the Uk but work outside Europe and get paid in US Dollars, I am in middle changing my mortgage to a BTL

    You live in the UK?

    You work in the UK?

    You pay UK tax and NI?

    You are paid in sterling?

    If the answers to all of the above are yes, I can't imagine what problems working for a foreign firm could bring.
