I applied for and was granted a mortgage recently. I decided to have a peek at my credit report before applying as Equinox was offering a free month of access.
Anyway am now wanting to cancel the account before I have to pay a monthly fee but can't see where or how its done.
Can anyone advise?
Thanks

I think you have to call up, but I emailed demanding they cancel by email as I didn't have the time to talk to them at that time. Eventually they did it for me.0

Call them, this will make them not take payment, closing the account from Equifax can lead to them still charging you for the service even though you're not using it. :j0

Yes - you need to call them so they can try to talk you out of cancelling! Experian are the same. The details are on their customer help pages:

Wow, that was close.... realised that tomorrow is the day that my Equifax account becomes chargeable and I'd not got round to cancelling it! Checked again on the website and noticed that they were open till 8. Called at 7:28 and have just got off the phone with them having been on hold for what? 20 minutes on my '3' mobile to an 0333 number.
Got 2 email's confirming cancellation of various services! hope it got them all!
Phew, will need no doubt to keep an eye on my bank statements.
BTW lesson learnt.... always check the method of cancelation. This phone thing is pure cowboy stuff0
