For a start why not tell us who took the money?
This is entirely normal for Brokers and reported regularly on here, this is what happens when you don't research a company first.0 -
This is what happens when the T&Cs you agree to state they will take a fee, and you provide your card details for them to take their fee.
You need to read those same T&Cs and follow their refund procedure!0 -
Never, ever, give your bank or card details out to unknown lenders or brokers. If they are legit you should get your money back, less £5 they are allowed to keep for admin, but you have to follow their refund instructions exactly, which usually means writing a letter. Check their T & C's.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

So who is the company?"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0

HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK
Can you seriously not remember which website you entered all your details on?
If you can't, just move on.
If you want it back, find out who took it. What does your statement say? What did the bank say?
Why do halifax have a copy of the application and if they have got it, ask for it.
What are you typing into Google that you found them the first time but can't find them now?0
