Minted Mornings is your chance to win £1,000 every weekday by lunchtime.

Make sure you pick up a copy of Metro every weekday between Monday 23rd February and Friday 20th March.

Each day in Metro you’ll find a new Minted Mornings Keyword. Simply text this word plus your name to 65400 before noon.

We’ll let you know soon after 12pm if you’re our daily £1,000 winner.

And don’t worry too much if you don’t win – you’ll have another fresh chance to enter the following weekday.

Minted Mornings Terms

Terms:- By entering this promotion you agree to these terms. Entrants must be 18 years or over and resident in the UK (excludes Northern Ireland). Standard network charges for texts apply. One entry per person per day. A keyword is printed in paper each day during the promotion. Simply text the daily keyword in full, along with your name, to 85400 before midday that day. Minted Mornings runs on weekdays from 23 February 2015 until midday on 20 March 2015. There is one daily cash prize of £1,000. Texts received after midday each day will not be eligible. The winner will be chosen at random from all correct entries received. Metro’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into. Failure by the winner to accept the prize within one week of notification will make any claim invalid and Metro will then randomly select another winner. The prize is non-transferable. Proof of entry is not proof of our receipt of your entry. No liability is accepted for texts not received. Winners agree to take part in promotion advertising for publicity purposes. Employees of Associated Newspapers Limited are not eligible to enter. The Promoter is Metro, Northcliffe House, 2 Derry St, W8 5TT.

  • PLEASE NOTE: It is NOT a standard network text charge

I am on 3 network - my texts are charged at 2p
I have just been charged 10p for this text - other networks may vary

If you have "inclusive" texts, check because you may still be charged 10p
Yes, I know there is no "R" in the word dream in my username - it was setup in memory of my grandson :A

I think I will be able to live with the 10p charge.I have unlimited texts on my phone & generally do not enter non standard charge text comps ie the £1 plus comps.
On this I think I will dig deep & go for it.
Do you want us to have a "whip- round" for the 8p difference for you ?

PS: only kidding as we cannot exchange personal details on MSE.

I was referring to this part of my message, so people may be aware that may still be charged and to check

    No worries.
In my text comp entering naivety I just presumed that I would be charged for entering this.I did not expect it to be included in my allowance hence my recklessness in blowing the 10p,if that is what I will charged as the SNR.
