Time and again, Barclaycards name comes up in this forum, and always for the same reasons, either interest not stopped or asking too much per month, the only way to attract there attention is either to pay token payments, as previously advised, or stop paying them altogether.
Barclays, in there various guises, do use DCA`s, the most common are Buchanan, Clark & wells, and Marlin.
They also have an "inhouse" collector called "Mercers".
If you can get to a point where your debt is sold on to one of these companies, your interest and charges will stop, and you will be better able to reduce your debt.
If you want to read an interesting story about how Barclays operate, then have a look here :

Your link is very interesting I wish people that write things like that take there proof theFOS as in a ruling aganst me these sort of things would never be done by people like barclaycard and the onus is on you prove it0 -

Unfortunately the FOS is more inclined to believe the "internal notes" a creditor provides them with, 9/10 its complete tosh, they will NEVER admit to how they really operate as they break so many rules on a regular basis.
This is why its so important for people to obtain as much info and knowledge on how these companies operate, as possible, knowledge is power, someone once said, but its so true.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
