Hi this may be a straight forward decision for many but would just like some honest blunt as you like feedback.
Right we have seen a new build we would like to buy we are in a position to buy as we have the fees and deposit for the property etc, the only thing holding us back is I have am due to start a job in sales in march and it has a 3 month probation (12 weeks) period. we have have had advice and spoke to the lender in question they are happy they can help us.
But from previous experiences we don't want to commit until my 12 weeks probation period ends as we see it as a risk, would the developer consider us for reserving the property until this time ??
the property is due for completion in April may they say.

Hi,
We're in the process of buying a new build. You can generally only reserve for 28 days- during which time they expect all te usual conveyancing processes tone going on so that you can exchange around the 28 day mark.
Hope that helps0 -
Hi,
Me and my family are currently in the process of buying a new build with Barratt Homes. Barratt homes and other big housing developers normally operate a strict 28 day deadline (This is a silly amount of time), in my opinion I don't think your Developer would hold the property for that long since someone may come along who's very keen on buying the property and in the position of starting the buying process, I have a similar situation to you I started a job in January which has a six month probation but TSB were fine to accept to us with two months payslips. Maybe it's worth going down and speaking to the sales advisor and seeing if they the house style releasing in 3 months, Hope everything goes well for you! :j0 -
doubt they will hold that long, barratts dont stick to the 28 day exchange by the wayDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
