'Mortgage Quo' Showing on credit report - is this Sainsbury's?

Hey all,

Had a credit report alert regarding addition / deletion of an account by 'Mortgage Quo'. I've googled and can't find any companies called Mortgage Quo and credit expert have no linked companies to them either.

The dates tie in with a personal load I had from Sainsbury's but I'm very confused!

Has anyone else had experience of this? I know my account was passed to Sainsbury's Bank Recoveries - but not been told anything about Mortgage Quo :S

Is it possible that this is an abbreviation of "mortgage quote"? Have you made any recent enquiries about mortgages, or perhaps even filled in any quotation applications online? Such searches can create "footprints" on your credit file - even a "soft" search will appear albeit it won't affect your credit rating.


If this doesn't answer your query, perhaps you should contact the credit agency that issued the report directly.

No mortgage application or enquiries for me, no way!

It's definitely an account rather than a search as it was showing as settled etc.

Very strange!
