Hi, If anyone could offer their advice/help or experiance I would be extreemly thankful.
I have applied for a mortgage with Nationwide, which has been refered for DIP. i'm at 85% LTV and do earn commission. This is 32K. Nationwide have asked to see 3 months bank statements and 3 moths pay slips. Do you think this is to verify commisson, do they usually do this or coud it be for a credit reason?
Thanks in advance for those that can hep

Thanks, would they have referred if for any other reason, giving that they appear to be asking for proof of income i.e payslips and bank statement?0

I am in exactly the same position, my salary is largely commission based and is the only income that we have. My application got referred to the underwriters for DIP and took 2 days to come back.
I was advised that nationwide til the average from 3 months wage slips. We did our full mortgage application on Wednesday and had our valuation yesterday so fingers crossed we hear something soon!!0 -
Wondered if you have any news on your referral, my has been in refer since 10th feb, completely freaking out now!0

I feel your pain, my husband and I have also been waiting since the 9th of Feb to get a decision from Nationwide as ours was also referred.
We went through a financial advisor, he was advised that they had over looked the docs we sent and then said we hadn't sent all of the requested docs. After he played hell they said they made an error and had received all requested documents. Surely it shouldn't take over a month to get a decision!? :mad:0 -

They took 2 weeks to tell me that part of my proof of deposit was not acceptable as it was in my child's name.....0

Because its a 90% mortgage. I'm getting extremely frustrated now. They checked some of the docs yesterday but yet again still no answer if approved or declined. Surely they would have declined by now?0

It took them about 2 weeks to try and proof my deposit because I had moved it between our accounts all verified with bank Statements showing this in the first place! Then they asked for more documents that had already been received. Completely useless!0

Similar thing happened to us! They requested more payslips which we sent as requested, then our financial advisor called them to chase the status last week and they advised they were outstanding wage slips even though he was previously told they were now happy with all the docs they had received and will now pass to underwriters. He then argued with the advisor to say they already confirmed they received to which she had to re check and said they had and it was an error on their part.... Nearly 5 weeks on from submitting the application we still DO NOT have an answer!!!!:mad:
Frustrated and angry is now becoming an understatement!!0
