Hi Everyone,
Recently I applied for tesco mortgage , and my application was approved . When i spoke to them yesterday they told me that my application has been approved its just they are waiting for the insurance certificate from my solicitor and then they will send out the formal offer.
Yesterday my mortgage application status on my online portal was
Status : Offer in principle - Accepted.
But when today i went to my online portal the status as changed to this
Status : Declined - Accepted.
I called the tesco customer service and then they told it sounds like its a rejection but i was told to wait for the letter. They were also not sure, so they spoke to there product support department and they says wait for the letter, but they says its a rejection.
I know i have to wait for the letter, but anyone knows what does this status means...please let us know
Thanks

It sounds like a rejection. I think you do have an option to appeal with Tesco though.
You were however given fair warning from the learned brethren here on your various threads on a number of occasions that it could end up like this.0 -
I agree. With a non standard case it was madness to go alone without the advice of a broker.0

Thanks for your reply. But my issue about the deposit was resolved, as what my seller did was he reduced the price of the flat to compensate for the deposit i paid, so i think that sounds like a straighforward case since now whole of the deposit was provided by me from my savings. I made this change and it was approved by the bank and yesterday when i spoke to them they said everything is fine they are just waiting for the insurance certificate from my solicitor and then they will release the formal offer.
and now today this happened so not getting as actually what has happened0
