    Please don't get me wrong.

One of the things you notice about posts on these boards is that some posters believe it will all just happen and land in their lap without any effort whatsoever. Getting a mortgage isn't like that.

Let's just say, I can be a little cruel to be kind but no offence is intended. I bet you one thing, you'll get your credit reports now though !!
  • I appreciate your honesty then. I can assure you it's gone to the top of my to-do list. I really don't expect any of this to be easy, I'm like a rabbit in headlights, just trying to get my head around the basics.

Christ, I'm never asking for help on here again

Try not to get distracted by our opinions. You are here for advice. You'll get plenty of free and valuable help here - including the person whose reply you did not appreciate.

Just try to stay focused and keep asking listening. I know it's daunting, but in the end you will be all the wiser.

I have to say I thought the same as Leon when I read post #7.

When it comes down to it, people post on here because they want a mortgage, so they can buy a home.

All we can do is point them in the right direction and hope they get on with it.

    Horse... water...etc.
