Baking Trays - Are better worth the money?

Worth looking in a TK Maxx if you've got one near you as I find I can get better quality cookware for a cheaper price there, have had some really good quality non-stick stuff that lasts much better than the cheaper ones I've tried in the past.
Couldn't agree more. I spend far too much time in the kitchen aisles at TK Maxx and have found some great bargains.
If you are roasting veg, chips etc... then glassware could be a good option. Seems pretty indestructable and doesn't have Teflon, which always flakes off after heavy use.0 -
We have a GreenPan roasting dish ( http://www.hartsofstur.com/acatalog/GreenPan-Premium-Bake-Ceramic-Non-Stick-Roaster-BW0000146.html#SID=543 ) - we've had it for a few months now and it cleans as well as new. I can't comment yet on how long they last, but it's better than any other roasting dish I've had.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
An excellent thread, considering I was looking at one of my baking trays just yesterday.

I have found these from Wilkinsons are pretty good and last between 1 and 2 years but they get dirty quick and unless you wash them excellently after every use, they won't stay silver for long.
I looked at the enamel ones for a while but couldn't justify the cost.
Maybe I will give one a try and see how it performs.
I usually use foil over the tray anyway as then I don't have to wash it.0 -
Cooking liner works a treat! £1.30 at Tesco: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=265613946
and probably in your local poundshop for a pound.0
