    4-6 weeks from application.
If you have had a valuation the last part is just going through those documents have they asked for extra proofs? if not should be a week or so

  • Thanks Nuzik, everything has been done and no extra docs requested. It's been at final checks for nearly 2 weeks. Application was done 2nd feb. Seller is going to pull out if not exchanged by this Friday. I have been told by my broker that nationwide are experiencing delays because they have introduced new rates? But then I'm reading that some have their offers issued 2 days after the valuation? Confused and stressed.com!
  • Hi I'm also waiting to exchange - Not heard from Solicitor or Broker for a while. Offer was made on 9th Feb, all insurances in place and all docs signed and sent to solicitor.

Not sure how long this part of the process takes? :(

tbh I would be getting on the phone to them myself to find out what is the hold up. According to this you should have had it by now :http://www.nationwide.co.uk/~/media/MainSite/documents/products/mortgages/Home-mover-mortgage-infographic-P2656.pdf

Everyone in the chain has to be at the same point and a completion date agreed between all parties.

    Then they can exchange contracts.

It isn't Nationwide, it's The Mortgage Works.
