I cannot believe teenagers can eat that much and it was only 10 years ago I was one! Mum always put her foot down about food in the house, she didnt buy much stuff which was special for us kids. She always made us sandwiches and there was chocolate in the cupboard but I didnt abuse the fact ever. My brother used to eat much more when he was about 18 onwards but used to buy his own.
Going round other peoples houses we had allocated things we were allowed quite often and one parent who was really hard up just used to let us have a portion of chips from the chippy to share, it was like a luxury!0 -
We were never allowed to take food without asking in our house. So we would be told you can have 3 biscuits from the tin, or you can have bread and chocolate spread or something like that. Anything else and it was "wait for your dinner".
