Been bubbling under for a few weeks now. Interesting it certainly will be.Je suis Charlie.0

So the man with more than 30 invoices has declared to a journo that he was the driver and he read and understood the signs.
DOH!!0 -
I suppose there was always a case that they may try it if the drivers are supposedly known (the article mentions the drivers , as opposed to keepers)
lets hope they lose all of them, based on the law being against them up there
a few precedents in law wouldnt go amiss, cant see a judgement for thousands or tens of thousands of pounds in back tickets being allowed
as you all say, be interesting to know the outcomes , especially when we tell people to ignore tickets and debt collectors in scotland0 -

It gets my goat when people make it too easy for PPC's to win cases, which the PPC then uses as propaganda to scare other victims into paying up.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

Sounds like Perky & Stephen Thomas (? if memory serves me correctly) is being reincarnated to justify their approach. Did anyone ever find out whether Stephen Thomas actually was real or an employee/ stooge to justify the whole Chebang.Originally Posted by shortcrust

The Problem is judges are getting fed up of sitting over parking cases, the temptation just to let the parking firm scalp motorist must be very strong.
They must be reminded that as judges they sit to protect the public from unlawful practices by greedy people who seek to get rich from the backs of hard working people without breaking a sweat.
£100 is a fortnights food budget to a hard working family, judges must not help these sharks steal the food from the mouths of children.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -

But that would result in more court cases. Finding for the motorist would result in fewer!
I know what you mean though, you're talking in terms of length of hearing.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

To my knowledge though, there haven't been in court cases in Scotland for many years. UKPC tried before Christmas, but dropped them at the last minute.
And it's Sheriff's in Scotland, not judges...
