Taking from pensioners to give to high earners, can't get much more progressive than that, Labour supporters will love it.
As stupid as taking from wealthy pensioners to give to wealthy students is, it still looks appealing vs taking of the working poor and giving to wealthy pensioners which is the current governments priority

Wouldn't it make more sense to help lower paid graduates rather than higher paid ones if you want to be 'fairer'?
You would think, but we all know this policy is more about appearing to do something (and making the Liberals look bad) than good policy. Just like pensioner bonds have nothing to do with helping savers, and everything to do with buying the votes of wealthy pensioners.Having a signature removed for mentioning the removal of a previous signature. Not that I'm particularly well off but I never had any intension of paying for my kids Uni fees! The loans are perfectly fine. I'd rather help with house deposits etc.0
