CCA templates for agressive pursuer of debts

Hi
Some years ago I was on here and got guidance for dealing with a company called lowell group over a non-existant debt with the phone company 3. Turns out one of my friends has the same problem.
I followed a link I had in my email from years ago to find the guides and template letters but it looks like the info has been redacted. I'm not allowed to post links it seems but it was a long one that went to another full thread so odd that the info is gone from the start.
Was a lot of useful info by a poster called never-in-doubt.
I recall the process went something like - request copy or original CCA then wait a fixed period then a follow-up letter stating they'd clearly got it wrong and haven't acknowledged you with some sort of demand from you to close the account then possible a letter to trading standards.
Is this info still available? I hope the CCA hasn't made changes!
If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be very appreciative. I tried searching but owing to the nature of the site a lot of the terms I'd search for in relation to this pull back many thread and none that I saw that were relevant.
Many thanks

Hi
It's in relation to an insanely high phone bill that my friend down't acknowledge.
It's been passed to a crummy bad debt company and then to another but originated from orange.
CCA doesn't apply to phone contracts? I thought it did on the basis of the hire agreement for the actual device etc.
Probably irrelevant in this case. The amount being pursued for is in the 1000's and is long after the person in question closed off an account with orange.0 -

Hi,
No, CCA does not apply to a phone contract, the debtor does not even have to sign a contract, the use of the supplied phone is deemed sufficient to have accepted the contract, along with all its terms and conditions.
You can sent the "provit" letter, they would then have to provide statements etc as proof the debt is owed.

Phone "contracts" are for the airtime not the device so ,as stated, the use of the airtime is considered acceptance of contract.0

my guess is it was abroad airtime used, which was delayed?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

It was - data actually and a bucket load of it. The shocking bit is that regardless of who ran up the bill they let it get to over £2000 before cutting it off.0
