Bob I feel it is vital that children have down time occassionally and some times what they want is some time in front of the TV, often they choose things that are popular in their peer group either they can join in with the chat or talk to their friends why they don't like the show. My DS enjoys watching TV and then will run round the garden reinacting what he has seen or taking the story further.
Had a lovely afternoon getting together with other parents and their offspring playing board games and putting the world to rightsand all for free :money:

That sounds lovely BB. This weather in time for half term is very welcome.
FVD - Glad your mum is stable, if not home quite yet. That's good news on your house too. Is it a case of you really want to move or could you put it off if the price isn't working at the moment? Seems a shame to lose hard earned money.
Ziggy -that doesn't surprise me on school cooking. I think it's a shame we prioritise skills that are supposed to better us, computers for example over life skills. Surely that's what senior school should have room for? I think the economy would be in a much better state if people were more confident running a home economically.
Sorry. Edited to say Hello to Little Pink Purse

Sorry, discharged wasn't the right word as she's not actually in hospital, they're not prepared to send her off without a further follow up out patient appointment just in case they need to do a little repair, I guess if it doesn't close up once the dead bit drops off.
I have a little time on my side re the house and it's priced right at the top of their estimate at the moment. I'd like, obviously, to get as much as I can but I will probably have to drop a little. I have work until November but nothing is guaranteed after that and I'd like to get my mortgage down to a more manageable amount (or preferably get rid of it altogether!) by then.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100
