Does being seperated not divorced effect mortgage application?

As the title says, I am separated but not yet divorced. It was all pretty amicable from both sides and we have to wait two years to get divorced under the 2 year separation grounds.

I am looking at purchasing a house within the next year (first time buyer) and I was wondering if being separated not divorced yet would have any impact on the mortgage application? I suppose it shouldn't given that it will only be in my name and only my income / outgoings used etc but I wanted to check as someone mentioned today that a bank may not look favourably on it.
