Actually, I'd be more concerned about the op's initial post stating that solicitors fee would be £650 - surely they've not included all the associated charges ie land reg, searches etc?30th June 2021 completely debt free…. Downsized, reduced working hours and living the dream.0

To actually get the mortgage the lender needs alot more info than what we orignally gave the ifa, therefore thinking bout it, later on down the line it probs would have been the same outcome once the lender started asking him for more info about us and finances etc..
My advice now to people is look around, talk direct to banks in person, try to address any concerns there. If you find it too stressfull, difficult or are busy with work and need to get it sorted quick then yes it makes sense to pay a couple of hundred to have a professional sort it out. At the end of the day the banks will try to help you out as you are a potential source of income for themHi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
