Glosman. Just out of interest what address did you use to write to Virgin? I wrote to them a while ago now and did not receive a reply.0

Despite writing a personal letter to Willie Walsh, he couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge or reply, instead getting one of his minions in customer relations to churn out the consistent sod-off letter.
What an insult! Needless to say, I will not go quietly and posting off another letter to Willie Walsh today, expressing my disgust at his treatment.0 -
Has anyone had any success with getting a refund from BA?
I've also had the standard letter back but was wondering whether I should send a 'Letter Before Action' style letter next.
Has anyone actually lodged a county court claim against them?
Maybe a Subject Access Request to them might make them divulge the amount of duty they've overcharged us?0 -
Received a letter today after mailing them on 7th August with evidence of fuel surcharges imposed from several flight tickets to New York and Budapest. BA replied with the same standard letter as others on this post have been getting. Wonder if anyone has taken the next step to threatening further action?0

I have tried to reclaim some of the fuel surcharges that I have paid to Virgin over the last few years. My family and I have paid Virgin's surcharges 16 times in total (2 return trips to the US for a family of 4). After sending the reclaiming letter twice I received a rude letter from Virgin quoting that I
"will be able to claim a refund of between £2 and £10 per flight"
I paid over £700 in fuel surcharges for these flights, it also states that
"please do not call our contact centres or write to us" as they are unable to give out any further information until the claims are finalised.
I'm not sure what to do next but do feel rather bullied by them.0 -
we are going to turkey on the 15/08/2008 and we have had two bills from our flight provider putting the price up blaming fuel increases we booked this flight in april and now they have added about 60 each more is this correct0
