scared - gonna apply for a mortgage

Wonder if anyone out there has been on a similar situation.

I am about to apply for a joint mortgage but I have poor to fair credit, I have one default on my credit file which is five and half years old. I was in a dmp for a few years which ended two years ago. No debt for two years and all bills paid on time. My credit score says 67 months with no severe issues.

We have savings of £50, 000.

We earn £55, 000 and will have a 15% deposit up to a purchase price of £240, 000

Scared I won't get accepted due to issues in my past and let my husband down

I'm not a broker but get a broker and they will take away some of that fear and present your case to the lender they think will take you on.
