  • yup Ynab should work for that, you can get it on a free trial for 34 days. It takes a bit of effort to get your head around it at first but if you watch the videos you soon get the hang of it, its brilliant. I am 48 years old and for the first time in my life i can tell you exactly what i have available to spend on what at this precise second for the rest of the month. No standing at the cashpoint guessing. I am also budgeting for EVERYTHING that i can reasonably foresee happening in my life, christmas, car mot, school dinners everything, i also know exactly how much i have in emergency funds for the unexpected. In the space of a few weeks it has transformed my grasp of my finances. In theory it doesn't give you any extra money of course but in practice for me it does because i am laser focussed on how much i have to spend, on what. As i said there are others available, and there is a cost to ynab, (unless you bag one for free, like me!!!) but as you can tell i love it!!!
