2 PCN's from NCP/Dashpark

Parked at North greenwich station a couple of weeks ago on 2 separate occasions and displayed blue badge as always, today I received 2 parking charge notices for both occasions for 'failure to pay'. I'm not sure if i should just ignore them or appeal, from what I've read the appeal will likely be declined anyway.

This has happened on one occasion before, a few years back before the dash park was in place but a ticket was left on the car which I decided to just ignore and never heard anything from it.

Is parking free if you display a Blue Badge? It doesn't seem to be http://www.ncp.co.uk/find-a-car-park/car-parks/north-greenwich-stn-lul/
There are 11 disabled spaces but presumably they are in prime parking positions & wider.
  • yes it's free, theres a sign up on the pay meters and board when walking to the station. Wouldn't say the spaces are in prime parking positions no

There is a similar thread from 2011 where they normally parked in one of the 11 spaces, But this time they used the main carpark as those spaces were taken and got a ticket.

Back in 2011 the advice was ignore. But dont do that now.

    You need to appeal.

It's not one of those car parks with the illogical rule that parking for Blue Badge holders is free in disabled spaces but otherwise you need to pay if all the disabled spaces are full & you park in a regular bay?

It seems it is which I have only realised since going back to check, last time I had parked there the disabled spaces were in a certain area and now seem to have been moved or taken away because they aren't there now and no one was around to ask where they were.
So it seems i was in the wrong, although I'm still not prepared to pay the ludicrous amount they are asking.
  • Ive read through the link Ralph-y left and so just to clarify, I don't declare myself the driver (which I knew about anyway) and i appeal using the letter template, do I list all those reasons? and don't bother actually explaining what happened because its pointless? and I wait until 21 days after the PCN? lastly, am I best doing this online/email or an actual letter?

Thanks to those who have taken the time to reply/offer advice

Yes, notice to keeper and was a straight letter 16 days after 'offence' no window ticket and it's from NCP however payment and appeal is to be made to Dashpark

ETA - actually there is no address to send 'representations against parking charge' as they put it, says to be done online

Ok as per your post higher up .... do the (2) first appeal templates

you do know by now that they will fail and you then do a second POPLA appeal, as this is with the BPA you should win it if done correctly.

Post up any appeals if you wish to be checked......

can you please check the dates from the parking day to the NTK arrival again.
