Leaving a candle burning overnight unattended is a housefire waiting to happen. Buy some flea traps instead:

Hey Mandarin Duck
What the hell will the neighbours think if they look in through the window and see me dressed in a pair of tights !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Well none of the natural methods helped. I tried essential oils, traps with lighted tea lights, borax, salt. Salt was the best at reducing numbers, but they still remained. Steam cleaned some rooms with a second hand steam cleaner. STILL some remained!!
I bought some Indorex from Vet UK and it sorted it. One can cost about a tenner and did the house. Unfortunately It brought on my asthma ... one of the reasons I wanted a natural remedy. But I suppose we have no fleas now!0 -

He thinks the bedroom is worst and the cat doesnt go upstairs! Previous owner had a dog though. I dont want to continue with aerosols and sprays, particularly in the bedroom. They are giving me sore throat and headache symptoms.
I have heard of natural remedies such as borax, salt and diatomaceous earth. I am interested in treatments for the home in particular, the cat seems OK with his Frontline.
Has anyone had any success with natural or "safe" type remedies that wont affect the health of me, myt baby and toddler?
Warm damp weather is idea for fleas.
You'll need a spray from the vets to do the job properly. The money, Dave...0
