Parking Edinburgh

Anyone know of decent place to park for the Edinburgh Tattoo, car would be left from about 8pm to 11pm Friday?

Try maybe anywhere round Castle Terrace/King Stables Road (?)/Grassmarket. Or maybe along the bridges/Royal Mile junction. Bus lane restrictions would end at 6.30pm so should be ok to park there. 10/15 minute walk up the mile to Tattoo entrance, depending on your energy levels.



p.s make sure you wear a nice pair of fresh jeans for your evening out

I think we parked on the road that runs from the roundabout at the bottom of Cockburn Street, runs parallel to train station might be Market Street? 10 min walk.

Tattoo was brilliant, parked at castle terrace - no problems at all. Cheers.

The last post on this subject was 2008 I think. Does anyone know what difference the Tram works have made and if any of the roads are closed ? We're going in Thursday night and not sure where would be best to park.

When we visit Edinburgh, we always park in Royal Terrace

Never any problems getting there or parking.

Princess street is closed and also the west end from frasers to the end of the row of shops there

Don't know if the restrictions have changed, but we used to park on the road across from the Old Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, just before Forrest Road.
