mortgage with foreign income

I'm looking for some advice please if possible.

The house we have at the moment, the mortgage is in my sole name as my husband did not have indefinite leave to remain when we did it two years ago.

We are hoping to buy a bigger house in around 12 months time. My husband now has indefinite leave to remain but he works for a foreign company, in a different country Its a multinational oil company that is very well known in UK and he commutes back and forth every month. He is paid in a foreign currency and into a foreign bank account.

Are there lenders who will borrow to people in our situation.

His basic is £50k but works offshore so with that it bumps up to £130k, and my salary is £22k.

Would be looking at a purchase price of £400k with a deposit of £60k.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Good Morning, I am the exact same working outside the UK and getting paid in USD, I had no issues getting my 1st mortgage with HSBC but at the moment i am going through a broker and was advised i am classed as a EXPAT due to how i am paid etc, It is possible but i would suggest going through a broker for this.

Doesn't sound as if your husband will hold any UK credit history. Given that his financial affairs are off shore and therefore unverifiable.

Thankfully he has got a credit rating here in UK otherwise we would have bigger problems.
He has had a loan in the past and currently has a credit card which is used a lot and paid in full every month, and also our joint bank account and his mobile phone contract.
