odds-n-sods
I've just found my cat has thrown up on a dining room chair cushion. Cover will get washed but how do I clean the actual cushion as it has soaked through??

Hi Odds
I just chuck my cushions in the machine, cover & all & then fluff them up & hang them on the line

its the seat cushion in the shape of the chair; not sure it would survive the experience; it was my DH before we met and he took off all the care tags..... it looks like foam mostly.0

If it's removable I would probably sponge it down thoroughly and leave it in the sun (or in the airing cupboard if the weather won't oblige) until dry.
If it's not removable, I'd be tempted to try sponging it and then soaking up any excess with an absorbent cloth. This worked on for me on my mum's cream dining room chairs when someone spilled a (large!) glass of red wine.
If it smells (and since it's cat sick, it might well) then try deodorising it with bicarb once the cushion is clean and dry.

Why do they always do this? My cat was standing in the hallway, on the tiled floor - and ran into the lounge to be sick on the carpet. I swear they're programmed to cause as much grief as possible!
