I am really really trying to improve my credit score. I've finally got a default off my file but I have 1 late payment form Very from March 2012
I think I went on holiday at the time and completely forgot to pay. I was only gone for a few weeks, then when I got back I saw the letter. I paid it straight away. I didn't think it was late enough to show on my credit report. However I am checking my credit reports and on checkmyfile.com I can see it is being reported to Callcredit and Equifax however on Experian it is not being reported?? What is the best thing to do to get it removed if I can? I am hesitant to contact Very as they then might apply it to my Experian report! Not too sure what is the best way to go about this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
If its an accurate record of how you have run the account, then it cannot be removed period.
Lenders dont always use all 3 CRA`s, some use one or two, just one, or all three.
There is a list on MSE somewhere, which lenders, use which credit reference agencies.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
